This Divided State
I just heard about this documentary, but have not yet had a chance to see it: "This Divided State: Death Threats, Bribery, and Family Values." It is about a college in Utah that invited Michael Moore to their university to speak. Concerned parents and right wing conservatives were concerned that some fat white liberal male was gonna come to their little community to speak for a $40,000 fee and tell little Johnny things like, "killing is bad, m'kay." "War? Well...War is bad, m'kay." I mean, what would little Johnny think if someone told him that the U.S. government was so corrupt as to start illegal wars with other nations.
So the right wing faction of the college invited Sean Hannity, a stupid (in my opinion after I've seen this little cracker as speak) over paid right wing U.S. government progogandist and fascist. It is said that he went before the crowd and got them fired up. Got them filled with hate. My friend, that saw the actual documentary, tells me of how she was amazed at this tiny blonde woman who became so enraged during Hannity (a chicken hawk) fired up the crowd to HATE the enemy.
Hannity, in his generosity, to outdo and show how much better he was than Michael Moore, was so generous as to waive his usual $40k or $50k speaking fee to come out there and fire up the crowd into displaying their genocidal warmongering chicken hawk family values. But he didn't want to talk about how he demanded a private jet for his journey there and back which cost $50,000.
Sean Hannity, promoting the family values of genocide, hate, and chicken hawking. And if you can get away with it, making quite the lucrative career of misinforming the nation and propagating for its genocidal government. THERE'S GOLD IN COMMITTING GENOCIDE!
